--According to the newest statistical data released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers on Nov. 9, the number of Chinese cars produced and the number sold had both exceeded 15 million as of October this year, with increase rates over 2.5 percent and 3 percent year on year, respectively. 

In October, China manufactured nearly 1.6 million automobiles, a roughly 2 percent drop compared with last month, and China sold 1.5 million cars, a drop of 7.4 percent. The production rate increased 1.7 percent and sales rate fell 1.1 percent compared with last October. 

As of October, China has produced more than 11.7 million passenger cars this year, with an increase of 6 percent compared with last year. Sales for passenger vehicles reached more than 11.8 million cars, increased 5.86 percent. 

The number of commercial vehicles manufactured in China reached 3.3 million as of October, a 7.6 percent drop compared with last year. Its sales dropped 5.2 percent to 3.4 million cars.
